Huawei launches Honor 7 in India; Price starts from Rs 22,999

The smartphone is also said to come in 32 GB and 64 GB variants, while the prices are not yet known.
The smartphone is said to be available for purchase on e-commerce giant Flipkart from Oct 15.
The smartphone comes with a 5.2 inch full HD display while it is powered by an octa-core processor coupled with 3 GB of RAM. While the smartphone runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop, it also comes with the Emotion UI 3.1 skin on top of the OS.
Interestingly, the new Huawei Honor 7 comes with a dual-tone LED flash at the rear along with a front-facing flash. Along with this, the camera section consists of a 20 MP sensor in the rear and an 8 MP sensor in the front for better selfies.
Also, there are speculations surfacing that the Honor 7 would be getting the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update by February 2016.
The smartphone is also said to come with an IR remote that is capable of controlling over 26,000 products like ACs, TVs and more from over 700 brands.
However, unlike many Chinese smartphones, the Honor 7 comes with a single SIM card slot that supports Indian 4G connectivity.
Having said everything, another interesting fact is that some of the features of the smartphone have been developed locally by the Huawei R&D team in Bengaluru, India. One of the key features developed locally is the SOS feature that comes with the Honor 7 which is expected to be rolled out to other Honor devices soon.
